Color Classes are offered roughly once per quarter. The following classes are scheduled to be offered:

Rock Solid - Color Foundations; focused on building solid color theory, consultation and formulation skills, along with efficient, practical techniques for the working colorist.
This class is appropriate for entry level professionals, cutters looking to transition to color and for experienced colorists looking for stronger consultation and formulation skills. Cosmetology students are also welcome.
The following topics are some of what will be covered:
- Step-by-step guide to failsafe formulation and consultation with an emphasis on WHY.
- The BIG THREE things you MUST determine accurately.
- Managing client expectations. Learn to “read between the lines”, ask the right questions and cut down on “re-dos.”
- The problem with “Carmel”.
- Things they never told you about formulation in Beauty School
- The color wheel and beyond
- Undertones, the Level System, filling and toning. When, how, why.
- Breaking the Base. What does it mean? When should you do it? How does it affect grow out? How does it affect gray? How is it affected by texture?
- Using the power of underlying pigment for good and not evil
- And more, including “Scenarios”: Bring your formulation nightmares and solve them once and for all.
Class will include take home materials and a Q & A session. Please bring the swatch book from the color line you prefer.
Coloring and Foiling for Maximum Profit; focused on techniques to improve the efficiency and profitability of experienced colorists, and will include tips for working with assistants.

Advanced Color Correction; focused on a wide range of correction scenarios and special conditions. This class teaches you how to fix those scary train wrecks, how to manage client expectations, and how to limit your liability.
