Tired of fighting your hair? Go from frizzy and unmanageable to smooth and silky in a few hours. These Keratin Treatments provide long term benefits for unruly hair. Meticulously applied in quarter inch sections, the treatments range in price from $250 - $600, with $350 being typical. 

Unlike many other brands of Keratin treatments that are "one-size-fits-all", we use different treatments  for different hair types.  Pricing varies according to the amount of hair you have and it's length, therefore,a consultation is required prior to application.  The exact cost for your service will be quoted following a thorough analysis of your hair.  Consultations for Keratin Treatments are $45, paid in advance.  The consultation fee is credited toward the cost of your service.


 

Frequently Asked Questions about Brazilian Keratin Treatments

 

1. Can the treatment be applied over a Japanese straightener?

Yes, we can apply the treatment over any kind of straightener. We recommend waiting until two weeks after the straightener to get one of our treatments.

2. Is this treatment a relaxer?

No, it is a treatment containing Keratin and Collagen that naturally softens, shines, smoothes, eliminates frizz, and gives instant manageablity.

3. Can you do the treatment after coloring or highlighting?

Yes.  We recommend the treatment immediately after your hair is colored or highlighted.

4. Can I color my hair after the treatment?

We recommend you wait two weeks after the treatment to have color applied.

5. Can you do the treatment on top of relaxed hair?

Yes, this treatment can be done on any previously relaxed hair, sodium hydroxide and thio chemical included, but only after two weeks have elapsed since the relaxer treatment.

6. Can you do the treatment on virgin hair?

Yes.

7. Can you do the treatment on children?

The product is manufacturer recommended for use on children over 7 years old, but we do not perform the treatments on anyone under 18.

8. Can I shampoo my hair after the treatment?

You must wait either 1 hour or 24 hours depending on which treatment you receive.

9. Can I wear a ponytail or tie my hair after the treatment?

You must wait either 1 hour or 24 hours depending on which treatment you receive.

10. What should I do if my hair gets wet during the waiting period (1 or 24 hrs)?

Blow dry immediately and flat iron if necessary.

11. Can I go into the pool or ocean after my treatment?

You must wait either 1 hour or 24 hours depending on which treatment you receive.

12. How long will my treatment stay on my hair?

2 to 4 months depending on your hair type.

13. What shampoo can I use after doing the treatment?

You can use shampoos that do not  contain Sodium Chloride.  We sell several here at the salon.  DO NOT use a shampoo that contains Sodium Chloride.

14. Can I get a touch up on my next visit or must I have all my hair re-done?

Unfortunately, the way the system works, we must re-do the whole head, roots to ends.  Touch up is not effective.

15. When should I have the treatment done again?

2 to 3 months, or as needed.

16. Can I do the treatment every month?

Yes.

17. Can I use my hair spray, gel, mousse, or any other hair products on my hair during the 1 to 24 hour waiting period?

No. You need to wait the prescribed amount of time.  Your stylist will tell you whether you need to wait 1 or 24 hours.

18. If I get any ridges in my hair while I sleep, what should I do?

Use either a blow dryer or flat iron to straighten the ridge in the hair.

19. Can I get the treatment while pregnant or nursing?

We will not apply the treatment while you are pregnant or nursing.

20. Can an infant be present while the treatment is being done?

We do not recommend infants be present in the salon during this or any other chemical services.
